January 22, 613 — Byzantine emperor Heraclius names his son Constantine III co-emperor at the age of nine months (May 3, 612 — April 20 or May 24 / May 26, 641). In 629 Constantine married his second-degree cousin, Gregory, with whom he had two children: Constans and Theodosius. In 641, at the death of Heraclius, he became emperor with his younger brother Herakonas, but after four months he died of tuberculosis, leaving Heraklonas sole king.
