January 8, 307 — Chinese Emperor Jin Huidi (b. 259) of the Jin Dynasty is poisoned by Regent Prince Sima Yue. He was the second emperor of the Jin Dynasty (265–420), the son of Emperor Jin Wudi. Jin Huidi was born with a mental disability, so that power in the kingdom became the center of internal struggles, which shook the economy and caused territorial losses.
